Why do we often wait until it is too late?
When we all know, that prevention is the best medicine. That taking time, to take care of ourselves should be on the top of our priority list, yet it’s often not. Why?
It’s a question I ask myself every day. Of course, even as I’m thinking it, I already know the answer. I’ve been down this rabbit hole many times, but it still begs to be asked.
Why do we wait to make the necessary changes, in our diet and lifestyle?
Why do we wait, until we are struggling with a serious illness before we even attempt to help ourselves; or for that matter, ask for any kind of help ?
When we’re young and healthy, we think we are invincible. We get sick or injured, we recover fairly quickly. For most people, your life and growth force is strong, when we’re young. Healing comes with little extra effort.
We believe that we can overcome anything and that disease is for someone older or just not us.
I believed this too! Luckily or unluckily, my serious illness came early in my life. Yet, even though I had spent years working with alternative medicine, to recover my health; it wasn’t until I’d spent 6 weeks sitting in a hospital watching my father die of cancer, that I felt inspired to really learn more. To want to do more for myself and the people I love.
What keeps us from doing something about those niggling symptoms, that we know are just not right?
Is it fear? Denial? Uncertainty? Hope?
What keeps you from doing what it takes to improve your health before it is too late?
In M. Scott Peck M.D.’s book, The Road Less Travelled, he states that, “Confronting and solving problems is a painful process, which most of us attempt to avoid. This avoidance results in pain and the hampered ability to grow both mentally and spiritually.” He also states that “people’s greatest failing is laziness”.
All of which is true.
Not only, do we NOT want to think about the fact that we may succumb to a serious illness or disease; but we refuse to change old, unhealthy habits. Even when they become obviously harmful – because it takes too much effort. A sad, but true fact of being human.
Everyone hates and fears change on some level!
I see this repeatedly in my practice and in my personal life. Unless something is really threatening our very existence, we won’t anything about it.
It has surprised me over the years, how many people refuse to do or take anything supportive. To help themselves, even when they fall ill to a general cough, cold or flu.
Why do we choose to suffer needlessly?
Simply because, it takes effort to try to figure out what to do, or take to help ourselves. It takes precious, personal time and effort that we feel we just don’t have (or maybe deserve). So we put our “faith” in our ability to heal and recover and hope for the best!
In other words we give our power away to an unknown, misunderstood force.
I do totally get it, if it wasn’t for my own personal struggles I would be no different! Which is why, I have created my Healing Kits – Where I take all the knowledge I have acquired over my own, 30 year journey into healing. I then package the best knowledge, for that particular issue and medicine, to help you recover faster and more efficiently with very little extra effort on your part.
The unfortunate part of NOT taking care of yourselves, is not just, that you will struggle longer than you need to, but that you are not empowering yourselves in any way.
What do I mean by that? Well, lets look a bit at why we require illness and disease.
Yes, I said require!
Everything that exists has a purpose.
The key, is figuring out what that purpose is, and how and why it is affecting you.
Every illness and disease has a biological purpose, designed specifically to help each of us unfold our own evolution. They are messengers and triggers, designed to inspire us to change. To really look at ourself, our symptoms, what our body is trying to tell us about what is not working and what we require in order to love and honour ourselves in a better, individualized way.
Cancer has been one of my biggest motivators. Not because I was diagnosed physically with cancer, but because my father, grandmother and grandfather all suffered from this disease. I knew well, that I too, had a strong inherent tendency to this disease.
After watching my father slowly die of cancer, I decided that there was no way in hell, that I was going to go through the same experience. What I needed to do was learn all that I could about the dynamic of cancer. I needed to understand the purpose of cancer!
At it’s core and most general level; Cancer is about not living your life for yourself, first and foremost! It is what we call in Dynamic Medicine – The un-lived Soul life.
I learned this aspect many years after my father’s death. It made a great deal of sense to me. My father was one of those guys whom everyone loved. He’d take his shirt off to give it to someone else in need, over and above his own needs. The reason he over gave of himself was due to low self worth, false beliefs and a deep inherent connection to this state.
On the inside, he was a very tortured soul. He was deeply unhappy, and knew no other way to solve this, than to drink alcohol in excess; to dull the pain in his soul. Which, is what triggered the cancer to first develop in his liver (deep seated self oppression and anger) and then progress to his bones (deep seated self loathing).
The unfortunate part of my father’s suffering was that he kept it hidden for far too long. He had been suffering for years with “unknown” pains, physically, mentally and emotionally. He didn’t know how to ask for help and so the life lesson of cancer overtook him fully.
It still saddens me today, to know that he and many other’s suffer without full resolution, out of not knowing, there is a solution. There is always a way to overcome disease.
All true disease has a mental and emotional aspect that supersedes the physical aspect.
The more I have come to fully understand that all illness and disease, have life lesson’s to teach us. The more attentive I am, to my own state of being and the state of all my loved ones and clients.
Being able to address the underlying causes and triggers, such as; not fully living life for ourselves, not loving and honouring ourselves, feeling unworthy, carrying deep anger, grief or fear….. is the only way to free ourselves from chronic illness and disease.
I am so incredibly blessed to have struggled with my own health. As crazy as that sounds. I was given the support and encouragement to find answers and solutions. That were able to free, every aspect of my own suffering.
I was then, lucky enough to discover a true system of natural healing and curing. Designed by the universe, unfolded by some amazing individuals during my lifetime and taught in a way that allows us to help other’s release their own health struggles.
This amazing system is called Heilkunst – the art of whole healing. Also known through me, as Dynamic Medicine. If you want to learn more please visit – What is Dynamic Medicine.
This is the only system, I have ever come across that actually explains why, how, and what is required to properly support your whole being in it’s healing quest!
As always, I’m interested in your thoughts, your struggles and ways to help you.
