I absolutely love the holidays.
Even growing up amongst all the chaos of a disfunctional and unhealthy home life.
The holidays where a time to reconnect with family, near and far.
No matter how unhappy life had been leading up to this time of year. Those few weeks around the holidays everyone was on their best behaviour. Everyone made an effort to get along, forgive and forget, even if just for a few days.
Take care of number one (YOU) first. If you aren’t happy deep down inside, to the very core of your soul, then you really don’t spread good cheer.
If you are faking it, people know. They may pretend that they don’t but they do. And maybe some people aren’t that perceptive, but on a deep soul and spiritual level they “know” that you don’t really feel it.
